TRUedx RFID
Leveraging RFID to speed and optimize supply chain workflows
in the retail industry.
Many companies in the retail business have already begun to introduce RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) processes to their supply chain workflows. By leveraging RFID, these companies achieve faster receipt of goods, shortened queue times of freight vehicles and optimized routes of transport. What‘s more, the use of RFID tags enables automated registration and checking of deliveries, leading to a significant reduction of error rates caused by manual data entries. In brief, using RFID speeds and optimizes supply chain workflows, improves the quality of a company‘s inventory control and reduces costs associated with goods management.
In close collaboration with leading retailers, Trubiquity has developed a cost-efficient state-of-the-art RFID solution as an add-on module for its proven TRUedx solution line. TRUedx RFID is fully integrated into the underlying EDI workflow: Upon reception of a Serial Shipping Container Code (SSCC) - either from the ERP system or Trubiquity‘s TRUedx Retail solution - TRUedx RFID automatically creates and prints the standard transport label including the EAN barcode as well as the associated RFID tag. The solution can be deployed to integrate with RFID printers; however, Trubiquity offers solution bundles that include TRUedx RFID and an industry-standard Toshiba RFID printers. It goes without saying that TRUedx handles the respective EDI communication (e.g. DESADV) automatically in the background.
